This was not very good, and a waste of some very good crab meat. Way too much Worchestshire sauce. Usually Paula never disappoints!

I was not impressed with this :(, Hot, meaning spicy, it had a little kick but, there is definitely something missing. I would like to tweek it and I just can't figure out what it is. It may be the worchestshire sauce is a bit much. Just don't know.

Wonderful! To Marissa from somewhere back East: how could you possibly have too much crab? An oxymoron for a CRAB dip, honey. To jpanzarino from Old Bridge, NJ; intimate, not intsmite groups. Crimony people. Does anyone use spell check? Ditto for Edgewater, MD. Dining, not dinning. Please rate the recipe as it is written; NOT as how you have modified it. Really easy to be critical for everyone. Jealous of Paula? My friends loved this dip. Kudos to Paula!!

Best crab dip ever! I did not use all of the worcestershire. Didn't feel right. But, everything else was Paula's recipe and I give it 5 stars. Which leads me to the insults Paula has gotten by those of you that have posted your own recipes and downgraded stars because you think you know best. I HATE cream cheese and that is why I chose this dip. What do your homegrown recipes call for? Cream cheese and worse than that, imitation crab! There are plenty of cooking sites that will let you post anything, whether it's edible or not. Why don't you use them to publish your own personal recipes and stop wasting the time of cooks like me who want to know what you thought of THIS recipe as it was written. When you get your own cooking show, culinary degree, restaurant or publish your own cookbook, get back to me after about 30 years. Then maybe you will be on a level playing field with Paula Deen.

This dip was really great, but I did switch it up a little bit based on previous reviews. I made it for a party, so I decided to try it out in a crockpot and double the recipe. Here's what I did:
-2 8 oz. packages non-fat cream cheese
-2 lbs. shredded imitation crabmeat (much cheaper for just a dip
-2 cups shredded Italian cheeses
-1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
-3/4 or 1 cup grated fresh Parmesan
-1/2 cup minced green onions
-1 entire roasted bulb of garlic
-NO Worcestershire sauce
-4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
-NO hot sauce
-2 1/4 teaspoons Old Bay spice
-Salt and Pepper to taste
I combined all of these ingredients in the crockpot and put it on high to melt everything together. It turned out great--no problems with texture and the crockpot seemed to work well with this dip! I suspect using the pepper jack cheese and hot sauce would yield good results as well, but I chose to make a non-spicy crab dip.

The first time I made this dip was for a super bowl party a few years ago. which I had no problems with it being oily or not creamy or over-powering, it was great!! Everyone at the party freaked, they all wanted the recipe, so I gave it out. still 3 years later whenever there's a party people always ask me to bring that amazing paula deen crab dip or else!!

Love the crab dip. Just like my mom made. I did tweak the recipe a little. I used one tbsp of Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt instead, and cheddar cheese. It was still yum!
