This recipe is a keeper I was told by my VERY picky 16 yr old son. It was very easy to make and can be adjusted easily to what you have in your pantry. I didn't have the soup in the recipe so I used what I had on hand cheese/broccoli soup. I used rotissere chicken, a can of peas and the eggs (even though you don't taste them. There is no need for a whole stick of butter - I used 3 TBS and added a small amount of garlic powder to the butter. All in all it was good and will make it again.

I've made this recipe so many times. We love it. The first time, I made it true to the recipe. Very yummy but I prefer a healthy version with a lot less butter, more veggies and shredded chicken. A lot of the ingredients are interchangeable which is awesome if you are missing something.

The time it took to cook this was way off. We made it for my sister and her family who were coming to town before a school show and we had to eat drive-thru at the last minute because it wasn't done and we added a lot of time already. Taste is pretty good, might make it again. Good thing, it's very easy. Don't make this if you have some place to go. Need to add something else like other types of vegts (potato suggestion as bisc. dough was just a little much. Used 2/3 butter and chicken broth. Easy dinner.

The filling was fine, I added potato and a few other bits, but the topping did not work well for me... didn't puff up at all turned into more of a doughy glue. Not good, something could have been wrong with the Bisquick??
But all in all good.. forget the whole stick of butter, What are you thinking??

Best chicken pot pie ever. I followed the recipe the first time to a T. Excellent. I have tweaked it since by adding a can of cream of celery soup along with the cream of chicken. My family doesn't like celery but the flavor really adds to it. I have also decreased the biscuit mixture because I thought it was a little to much. I also take another can of cream of chicken soup and chicken broth and heat in a saucepan to pour over is it comes out to dry or to make it less thick. I also use canned drained veggies, but have also used frozen. Still tasted the same but a little less salty. I highly recommend this dish. I also use Costco rotisserie chicken that has been cut up and bagged that you can buy from their service window.

Thanksgiving Leftovers - I did not add the hard boiled egg. I had left over turkey from Thanksgiving along with Turkey Broth (where I saved/boiled the Turkey Carcass celery, carrots, garlic, onion and freezer the broth for later use in this meal This was absolutely wonderful. My teenage boys love this recipe as well as the traditional Paula Deen version.
