Such a great recipe!!! My boyfriend and I loved this! As others have suggested, I only used half a stick of butter to drizzle on top rather than a whole stick of butter. I also added some other veggies: 1/2cup green beans, 1/2 cup celery, 1/2 cup carrots, 1/2 cup green peas. I also roasted two boneless skinless chicken breasts beforehand by rubbing some EVOO, salt & pepper on both sides and cooking in oven for 30 min on an aluminum foil covered baking sheet. This recipe was so easy & I will def. be making it many more times!!

So Yummy! Quick and easy too. I mixed the melted butter in with the biscuit mix instead of drizzling on top. I also eliminated the egg.

Wow this was super easy and super good I made it last night and the family loved it. I added a generous amount of Fines Herbes and some cheddar cheese to the Bisquick before I added the milk... gave a bit more flavor Great dinner on rainy night Thanks Paula!!!

This was very good. Next time I will add a lot more salt, but overall it was delicious.

I've been using this recipe for years, although I made a few changes - I use cream of mushroom, no egg, add frozen corn. Also, the topping tends to be a little thick, so I usually add a quarter cup of extra milk and the carrots are sometimes underdone, so I saute them before adding to the casserole. Every time I make this I get rave reviews. This is one of my family's favorite meals and its so easy to make, we always make enough for leftovers and it reheats so well! Definitely one of the best shortcut recipes around!

Normally I am a disaster in the kitchen but I loved this recipe! Its so easy even I can do it! I sauteed some celery, carrots and onions and added frozen peas and corn. I also used grilled chicken which gave it great flavor! I didn't use the butter and it turned out great!

Paula, you are amazing!!!!!!!!!!! This dish makes my four kids scream for more! (they are picky eaters The only thing I did different was, I did not use the milk and used the rest of the broth in it's place for the topping. And instead of the veggies I use a frozen califormia blend (broc, cauliflower and carrot. It is quick and easy.

I totally changed up the recipe. I used frozen stew veggies diced up - potatoes, carrots, celery, no egg, added finally chopped onions to the gravy and covered it with puff pastry. Next time I'll add peas. For the chicken, I seasoned it with poultry season and baked it in the oven in chicken broth.

My only complaint is that the gravy didn't get as thick as I would like it to have been. I even add flour to the gravy mix before baking. Next time I may use corn starch.

Just finished dinner and the pot pie was very good. Made some additions and changes - sauted carrots, onions and celery, as one user recommended and I added some fresh thyme for flavor. Casserole was swimming in butter when came out of the oven so will use half the amount next time. Would also add potatoes next time to make it a little heartier. I didn't get the layering part of recipe so just mixed the chicken and veggies together and next time may even try mixing in the sauce also. It was easy to make especially since my husband did all the cutting up of the cooked chicken I purchased from grocery store! Will be making this again with the changes. Oh - no eggs either - that one I really don't get!
