I made these just like the recipe said and I must say they are the "BEST" biscuits I've ever made.Light and fluffy, and melt in your mouth. Great with fresh strawberries. My go to recipe from now on.

Just wanted to give another tip regarding the whip cream, use a mixer, it works much better than a whisk. And expect to mix for at least 10-15mins. I've learned that the longer you mix the cream the thicker it becomes. It really is an excellent recipe, follow it exactly as it is and your sure to have a scrumptious cake.

Followed the recipe to a 't', taking into consideration other's suggestions re not over-handling, etc. Only 2 of the 9 'rose'. Tasty but not light/fluffy. Tasted like a shortbread cookie. I'll look elsewhere next time.

I was disappointed. I measured exactly and the dough came out way too dry and falling apart as another reviewer mentioned. Had to add more half and half but that made the dough overworked and a little tough. My measurements were exact. If I make them again I will initially add a little more half and half to the dough.

I just made this recipe with fresh strawberries from the farmer's market -- perfect! The shortcake was very moist and creamy, and the amount of sugar was just right. I'll be hanging on to this recipe.

Made this for tonight's dessert. Everyone loved it! It was a nice somewhat light dessert. I also took the liberty to make Food Network's "Really Vanilly Whipped Cream". Much better than any store bought stuff. :

These came out so delicious and tasty. I especially loved the way the sugar came out on top of each muffin, a delightful finishing touch. What a tasty treat, thank you! :

Yum! I made these over the 4th of July weekend with my sons. They love to cook/bake. These are easy to pull together. I used skim milk instead of half and half, because that's all I had and they were still delicious. It was super muggy, so I needed to add extra flour after adding the milk, but they still came out soft and fluffy. We will be making these again.

We also added some blueberries to the strawberry mixture so we could have our "Red, White & Blue" dessert!
