I MADE THESE THE OTHER DAY AND MY HUSBAND RAVED ABOUT THEM !! I DID, HOWEVER, TURN THEM OVER AFTER 20 MINUTES AND COOKED THEM ANOTHER 10. SMALLER PIECES ARE BETTER AS THEY ARE A LITTLE CRISPIER. THEY'RE EVEN BETTER THE NEXT DAY SLICED IN A SALAD.

We made these tonight for a taste test for our Xmas buffet this Saturday. They are too gooey..I kept trying to get them crispy, but didn't work. I turned them as one of the other reviewers said to do. I love Italian flavors, but cut back on the Oregeno...shoo weee...maybe deep fried??? Don't know. Love the butter concept. I trust you Paula, but this needs help.

These were tasty. Here are a couple suggestions: make sure the chicken is pretty much room temp. The butter sort of congealed onto the cold chicken and I had to microwave it to get it back to liquid. Obviously that's not the best thing for the chicken.
Also, I'd recommend turning the pieces half way through. The pan side got nicely brown but the top side was a little pale.
Finally, I'd slice them so they're maybe 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch. The smaller pieces were crispier which was better.
