It was pretty good. I'm not a potato person, but my family liked it.

I made this last night (without the peppercorns and it was FANTASTIC.

My husband decided this sauce would also be great over pork chops or pasta! We are going to try that next.

This sauce is amazing. I have also tripled the recipe and used it as a topping on a perfectly grilled medium rare steak. It is heaven on earth.

The brandy takes this recipe to a higher level of flavor! I cannot imagine leaving it out. FYI, the written recipe left out ingredients and directions. Cook the bacon only until slightly crisp before adding the mushrooms. After soaking the peppercorns in cold water, crush them. When adding the cream, save a little to mix with 1 teaspoon of corn starch to help the sauce thicken, and add green onion tops to taste. Taste before adding salt and pepper because the salt from the bacon and pepper from peppercorns could be ample.

This was good but I felt like it was missing something. I cut the cream with some half and half to justify it as a dinner, lol. It was yummy...I would probably not keep the bacon in the pan after crisping and just sprinkle on top. Will make again.

We omitted the peppercorns and brandy (because we didn't have them on hand. This potato is a meal in itself. We served it with steak, perfect!

I changed this recipe by using some hamburger and hot pork sausage, and a can of southwest pepperjack cheese soup.

Paula, you may have had to take a break on that show to finish making love to that potato, but my wife was ALL OVER me after I fixed her that!!!

    Thanks!!!
