Wonderful dish, very easy, so tasty, perfect! Used long grain and wild rice without the seasoning. Fantastic!

Great taste and I like the use of simple dried ingredients instead of fresh. Good, warm comfort food during a blizzard here in Kansas City!

Also, I usually leave out the shrimp...I like shrimp but have found that it doesnt add anything to the dish in my opinion (the dish is very flavorful and the shrimp just tastes bland in this, so I usually just leave it out which makes the dish even more affordable to make

The recipe looked interesting, but I never had jambalaya before. The results were fantastic ! Because I was missing several ingredients for the "mix", I decided to make up mix packets after my trip to the store. It is so nice to just grab a packet , a few cans and little bags of shrimp and sausage when I've promised that "I'll bring dinner". The mix is a little hot for me, but everyone else says it's perfect. I use #1 of shrimp and nearly as much sausage. Hillshire Farms makes a good fully-cooked beef sausage, so the person with pork allergy could enjoy it, too.

The Jambalaya recipe was good and had a nice kick to it. The only suggestion that I would make is to use 2 cups of water instead of 2/12. I used the juice from the can of diced tomatoes and with the 2 1/12 cups of water the rice came out mushy. Other then that the flavor was really good. Another yummy, easy recipe from Paula.

I don't have a lot of experience with Jambalaya (eating or making but I really enjoyed this dish. It was easy (I left out the shrimp and delicious. I RARELY enjoy anything as a leftover but this was good even a few days later. Would recommend and make again (and again.
