I used Venison Cajun sausage and added some chicken. Just hot enough, very easy to make - a BIG hit - thanks Paula

This is a great Jambalaya recipe. I added my own frozen onions and celery and omitted the dried onions (I sauteed the onions and celery before adding them to the pot. I didn't have any shrimp, so I just used a lot of sausage. Perfect recipe- pretty spicy, but just the right amount of heat. I will definitely make this again, and with shrimp next time!

This is a wonderful recipe. This was my first time making Jambalaya and it turned out perfectly. I added sauted onion, green pepper, and garlic instead of garlic powder. The flavor was perfect and slightyly spicy. Good job Paula!

Tripled (with adjustments below the recipe for a crowd of 15 and got rave reviews! Adjustments...1 Added chicken, along with the sausage and shrimp. 2 Only added 5 cups of water. 3 Only added 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, because we were serving kids and adults. Would use the called for 3/4 tsp cayenne pepper if adults only. This recipe is a keeper and will go in the regular rotation!

My husband was badgering me to make Jambalaya and I'd never done it so I found this recipe. It seemed easy enough and actually ended up being even easier than I expected. It was a little spicy for my taste, but my husband loved it. I did use hot smoked sausage (on my husband's request, so that might have made it a little more spicy than it would have been. This is definitely a keeper!

I was looking for something to do with smoked sausage and found this recipe. I didn't have the cayenne pepper, so I used dried red pepper flakes. The heat was good for me b/c I don't like it super hot. The reason I rate it a 4 and not a 5 is that it is really tomato-ey. That's not my favorite type of jambalaya, but it was pretty good.

My hubby loves spicy food so I thought I'd give this a try. I used chorizo sausage and smoked sausage along with the shrimp, and can I say it was a huge hit! He wanted to lick the plate clean!
Thanks, Paula! Love your show.
