I made this for my fiancee who is a very picky eater and he devoured it! I added some diced chicken to the recipe and used andouille sausage instead of the smoked and it turned out fantastic!

This was almost perfect, although I added more vegetables than she called for. I put some steamed carrots, mushrooms and a hot chili pepper. I also used fresh garlic and onion, which I think helped a lot. The spice was WONDERFUL. It was certainly spicy but also mellow and not overpowering. I just loved it. This is an excellent, super foolproof recipe.

I had been running errands all day and came home hot and tired. I had seen Paula Deen on a sausage commercial talking about her Jambalaya recipe. I went to my computer, printed off the recipe, and was able to have dinner ready before my husband got home from work. The Jambalaya was VERY FAVORFUL and, as Paula would say, "as easy as pie". My husband thought I'd been cooking all day. He absolutely loved it! My husband can't eat garlic, so I eliminated this one ingredient and it was still WONDERFUL!! Thanks, Paula!

This is a great "one pot wonder." I like to use Rotel diced tomatoes with green chiles in place of the plain diced tomatoes. Adds a nice kick. I also add some Worchestershire Sauce and it adds some more depth of flavor.

The first time I made this I was cooking for my sailing crew. They raved, and ate like they were all going to the electric chair.

This was a very easy recipe and took no time to make. i tweaked it just a little (i used a box of Zatarain's jumbalaya mix and i cooked the sausage separately before adding to the pot but either way it was great!
