I didn't have any of the Dales Steak Seasoning so I substituted it with A-1 Steak Sauce. This was such an easy dish to make and my husband and both boys absolutely loved it! I doubled the recipe and there were NONE left. I made some home-made fries seasoned with Tiger Seasoning as the side dish. Will definitely use again for future meals!
I forgot to add that I also cooked the burgers medium well in a skillet and after I put the cheese on I DID NOT completely wrap the burgers with the puff pastry. I did this to allow any left over grease in the burgers to come out onto the pan instead of staying inside since I did not have very lean hamburger.

This was very easy to prepare. This was very delicious. Unlike others who thought it was to wet, it wasn't for me. I cooked it on my pampered chef sheet pan. They came out perfectly. I will use this receipt again and again.

Jamie i gave you 4-stars because you are a guy & guy's really do not mind
grease! i had trouble with the underneath of the pie, soggy & greasy
from the hamberger. THE IDEA HOWEVER WAS GOOD, and will probably
match it up with something less greasy in the futher..... i am glad
however others like it, thanks.

This recipe is fabulous! I have been making something simular for years and knew it would be good. My rendition is that I wrap the puff pastry from the bottom to the top and make a " beggers purse " type presentation. I also pre cook bacon (2 per burger until almost crisp and saute mushrooms for about 2min. and add both on top of the burger and cheese then wrap the pastry. Another great addition is that i make brown gravy (Knorr brand and ladle it on each plate, set " Burger Wellington" in the center and then sprinkle diced tomatoes and chopped green onions around the plate for an elegant presentation. Served with a salad......doesn't get any better! Thanks for letting me share.

I have made these for my parents' super bowl party for the past 2 years, and each time they're a HUGE hit. In fact, they're almost better as leftovers the next day! I made them half with sharp cheddar and half with pepper jack cheese. Both were superb! Puff pastry takes a little while to bake. I think I'm going to try a slightly higher temp next time.

I had came across this recipe, and I thought that this is something different that I haven't made before. (And that was what I was looking for. I went by all the ingredients right down to a T and also added a little minced garlic to it, as a little personal touch. It was very delicious! My kids really enjoyed it, too. It turned out not only different but simple and beautiful!
