I wish I would have read the reviews about it not peaking the second time before I threw out the first two batches. It was really good frozen but it would not whip again after I added the sweetened condensed milk, 30 minutes later twice. It was good and all friends loved it also. Thank You

Yummy FROZEN key lime pie! This was a HUGE summer hit in my house! This frozen treat is refreshing and tasty. Freeze overnight for the best results. It needs to remain in the freezer until 10 minutes before serving. And yes, the center will get soft and mushy if left out too long. For the traditional key lime pie lovers this is a must!

This is great! My husband was wanting key lime pie and this seemed pretty easy. The only thing I would do differently is buy bottled key lime juice. It took FOREVER to get 3/4 cup of juice from those tiny limes! But that was my mistake. Also, I never did get stiff peaks to form after I added the condensed milk, I just stopped when I got soft peaks. Didn't make a bit of difference, the pie still froze nicely and was the right consistency. I used a hand mixer and I put the bowl and beaters in the freezer for a bit before I started mixing it all up. I was a little hesitant to make it after reading the reviews, but if you follow the directions and freeze it long enough, it should turn out just fine! Very tasty!!
