Y'all I was just at Lady and Sons last wednesday, and I ordered this chicken pot pie. And talk about amazing. I'm defenitly gonna have to try making this at home. My Fiance had their buffet and everything was outstanding. If y'all ever go to Savanah y'all must got to Lady and Sons.

I used this recipe as a starting point for my chicken pot pie and therefore tweaked the recipe as some of the other reviewers did; I used half heavy cream and half chicken stock. I also chose to use the bouillon cubes instead of the chicken base. I put in corn, green beans, carrots, celery and onion. Instead of the puff pastry I used a pie shell. The recipe overall was very tasty my family defiantly wants me to make this again

I have made this no less than 10 times this year. I use the Pilsbury pie crust on the top and bottom. In also add extra chicken and I cut the heavy cream by half and replace with whole milk.

I never have a lot left and it's always requested.

This was delicious! Made this for dinner tonight because my husband is a big pot pie fan...he said it was the best pot pie he's ever had. I did make a few modifications. I actually put the filling into store bought pie crusts (double crust. I also used half & half instead of heavy cream. The sauce was really thick, as some other reviewers said, so I added some chicken broth until it was the consistency I wanted. I also sauteed celery, onions, carrots and garlic together in a separate pan and then added to the filling. I also added baby lima beans with the peas, because my husband and I both like limas. This really was absolutely delicious. I added it to my recipe book! Thank you Paula!

Had to review this because it is AMAZING! Also, I read a lot of other reviews and some of the negative ones, I believe, are an easy fix. If it came out too salty, it may be the result of using salted butter, or I also think that the recipe was written wrong on the amount of chicken base. If you watch the video of Paula making this dish, it looks like she only puts in about 2 tablespoons, not 1/4 cup or whatever the recipe says. Also, if it came out too thick for your taste, that is probably because the recipe calls for a lot more flour than she used as well. It appears she uses a couple tablespoons, not 3/4 of a cup. But, I did use the increased amount of flour and mine came out pretty perfect, but I also like a thicker pot pie.
Important to note that the taste of this recipe, with special note to the above changes, was incredible!!! I also added a bit of cayenne pepper to the mix, and it made it perfect. Not enough to make it spicy, but just enough to add a punch of flavor.

Delicious and very rich, but by far the best chicken pot pie I have ever had.

I usually do not like chicken pot pie at all but my fiance loves it so I looked up recipes and found this one. This is by far the best chicken pot pie I have ever had and my fiance loves it and he is hard to please when it comes to food. The only think I could say that it is a bit thick but nothing that a little less flour and some half and half can't fix!!!! Loved it Paula!!

All my family had to say was "YUM". I used 2 c. frozen veggies, worked great. I think I might add potatoes next time. I did both cream and half & half. One bit of advice, put in a tsp of the chicken base at a time and taste. I did not use all the chicken base due to the remarks of saltiness. I will be making this again.
