My wife bought Paula's recipe book for my Father's day gift because she saw Paula's recipe for the crabmeat stuffed shrimp and knew I was looking for a good stuffed shrimp recipe. Well, she asked me to bake some up to give to her father for Father's Day so I did. You should have seen the look on his face when he bit into one of those shrimp! He said in all his years he had never tasted shrimp better than this! Every one in the house had to taste them after that and they were a big hit and I received many compliments. I have to admit I gave Paula all the credit though. Thanks Paula!

    but as easy as 1-2-3.

This is the greatest and easiest recipe i have ever made. My reaction when i tasted it was the same as Paula did when she made this on her show, my husband loved them. As a matter of fact i have to go to my sistrs and make them for my Brother-In-Law i raved about them so much. You will love them.
Love you Paula watch you everyday.

This was one of the most delicious meals that I have ever prepared. Although the ingredients were expensive, the results were well worth the money spent. Put on your patience hat, as this recipe requires about an hour of preparation (longer if it's your first time. Enjoy!!

This recipe was soo good. I have the cook book with this recipe in it and it does not call for the roux. And to be honest i think its a wasted step. The cheese from the pesto thickens it quite nicely. If you do not want wasted pesto only make half the recipe and make sure you use the biggest shrimp you can find for easy stuffing.

This dish took longer than expected. The stuffing was excellent, and I used the left over stuffing for some crab cakes, that turned out wonderful. The Basil Cream sauce taste great, but when I reheated the sauce, the cream separated from the oil in my pesto sauce, so it was unattractive. I did take other's advice and pan fry my bacon before wrapping around the shrimp. Overall, this dish had a great flavor.

This is such an incredible meal. We used huge jumbo shrimp, like Paula's on the show (ended up w/10 shrimp, almost 1 1/2 lbs total to use the filling. A splurge dish in every way. Personally, I wouldn't precook the bacon, just be prepared to cook the dish longer than the recipe time - the bacon grease infuses the stuffing and protects the shrimp from over-drying. We broiled lightly toward the end to crisp the stuffing and the bacon. The jasmine rice is a must w/this - as is the Basil Cream. We lightly drizzled ours over the whole plate and then sprinkled w/chopped parsley and a couple lemon wedges for serving (the flavors were really brightened by the lemon juice.
This dish is even better than it looks and sounds. All I can say is this lady knows what she's doing when it comes to food!
