I made these today and I noticed the batter was very thick. I added the amount of water the cake mix said and crossed my fingers that they would turned out.. and they did. I think she forgot to add water to the recipe because I didnt see how 18 cup cakes were going to come out of that recipe. My granddaughtes love them.

I just finished baking these. I must say that they are VERY sweet and most of my family are sweet eaters.........I am a bit disappointed in the way the batter was;(thickso I added a bit of water and still had to spoon in mini tins.............my prepared mini muffin tins still had a problem with the muffins sticking so I went to plan B.............I had mini muffin liners; used them; mini cupcakes with lemon icing and since it's a day before Easter, I frosted them with sprinkles and also some with chocolate/with sprinkles...........I think everyone will like them.......thanks

The last batch is in the oven. Very good recipe. I tried to use melted butter in the icing instead of oil but,it didn't take me long to understand the oil is to keep the icing a better consistency for icing the blossoms. I think my grandkids will love these too. I will also make them to take to work. Thanks for the recipe.

Followed the receipe exactly. No issues. The batter is sticky and you need to spoon it. All of mine popped out of the pan with no issues. Taste amazing! I agree with the reviewers who say they are extremely sweet but that's what I love about them!

For all of y'all who were worried about the Blossoms being concave in the middle, this is the way they are supposed to be. That way, they collect a little more of the lemony goodness of the glaze in the middle. Yummy!

I used a Duncan Hines lemon supreme cake mix, and added the proper amount of water and it turned out wonderful. Paula should redo this recipe!!!! Happy in Florida

I have tried all of the 5 star cupcake recipes on here from the Cupcake Wars series and all have been amazing. This is the first 5 star recipe I have tried on Food Network that I did not like. The cupcakes were too dense, they stuck to the pan and fell apart when they finally came out of the pan. Plus, the glaze was way too sweet. I made these for my coworkers but instead threw them in the garbage.

OMGosh! Paula, your receipe is fabulous! Everyone loved them so much that when I decided I'd go and get one for myself... well I was too late! They were all gone!! I did remake the recipe, again they were a big hit. Everyone who tasted them asks what is the recipe. It's our little secret, right?!

This will be my first review! After trying dozens of "5 star" recipes off of another website that didn't deserve 5 stars in my opinion, I've finally found a website where 5 stars really means 5 stars! For this recipe, I did as another reviewer suggested and added 3/4 C water to the cake mix so it was spoonable. They came out light and fluffy! If you want even more of a lemony taste, you could bump up the lemon in the frosting and it definitely wouldn't hurt it any! I also had a bit of a problem getting them out of the pan even when dousing it with spray. A bit of prying with a knife was all that was needed. A great, easy recipe!
