Good, but too watered down with 1 gallon of water (which is why 4 stars instead of 5. We reduced water to 2 Qts (by half in order to taste the lemon and sweetness to my family's liking. Definitely make the simple syrup over stove, cool then add - makes a big difference in the mouth feel.

Yumm! We made this yesterday after a hot day of gardening, it is so refreshing and perfect. Made the simple syrup first and poured it into the jug along with the lemon juice, water and a few ice cubes. Reminds me of the lemonade my mom used to make for us as a child. Love you Paula! :

My family, including my 5 year old daughter, loved this recipe. I made it a little sweeter after tasting it was a little more tart than my liking. I just mixed up a little more syrup (sugar and water and mixed it in. YUMMY! A great summer/spring recipe for Lemonade. Will save and use again. Thanks!

I used Meyer lemons (from a friends tree that are sweet and floral tasting. This recipe is so easy, and you can easily modify the recipe to suit your sweet tooth! I had some strawberries that needed to be used soon, so I put about 8 berries with a bit more sugar and a few tablespoonfuls of water, in the food processor, put it through the sieve right into the prepared lemonade. Tastes like a bit of summer on a rainy day:

Nice start - a little too watered down to suit my taste. Dissolveing the sugar in hot water is a wonderful touch. I used very ripe fresh lemons, so they were about as sweet as lemons come. Another cup of lemon juice did the trick. Maybe really sour lemons would give enough flavor to this recipe as written. Bottom line, taste as you add water to get the flavor you prefer.

The best lemonade I've had. I received some fresh lemons from a friend and had no idea what to do with all of them. I was a little hesitant because 2 cups of lemon juice sounded like a lot but this lemonade is So delicious : Definitely try it!

Delicious! I only bought 6 large lemons, which yielded 1.5 cups of juice but it was still perfectly lemony. Very good recipe!

We have a lemon tree so I have tried many lemonade recipes. Paula Deen's Recipe for Lemonade is the best! It's the only recipe I use and it's easy to increase or decrease the amount. Thank you, Paula Deen for the best lemonade recipe, ever!
