I made this punch at my sister's baby shower and the guests loved it so much, I had to go back to the grocery store so that I could make another bowl! I still didn't get to taste it that day...

I was looking for a variation on my usual punch to take to a baby shower when I found this one. It was super easy and YUMMY! Everyone at the shower raved about it and asked for the recipe (which cracks me up because it was so simple to make!. One lady had so many cups she even commented that she wondered if there was a 12-step program for punch drinkers. Not a drop left! I even stir it up and keep it in the fridge for my kids. They love it too!

This is an absolutely wonderful punch! I have made it three times now for bridal showers. Each time I have made 3 or 4 bowls full. The women just love it! Thanks for the great recipes and keep them coming!

I was throwing a bridal shower recently and came across this recipe while searching for a simple punch. Why did I choose it? The simple fact that it called for lemons and limes, which is the bride's theme for her wedding! I was VERY hesitant for fear people wouln't like it because it was lime flavored...not exactly the most popular choice. Well, it was a good thing I brought enough for 2 batches...everyone loved it, including the bride! Just an FYI...one batch fits perfectly into a standard punch bowl...don't try making a double batch to start. Just make your second when the bowl gets low. Now I'm going to try it with orange juice and play with different flavors of sherbert!

It wasn't the best punch I've ever had, but it was good. I didn't notice anyone going back for seconds, which says a lot.

Best punch ever! It makes my mouth water just thinking about it! Yummy! My mother had this at her wedding in 1976. I'm getting married on New Years Eve this year, and I'm having it at my wedding! When the caterer asked what kind of drinks we wanted, I immediately said "that lime sherbet punch!" and she laughed and said "Classic! I had it at my wedding! I love that stuff!" My mother said, "I had it at mine too!" And now I can say I had it at mine. Even though it's just punch, it's cool to think about how 'timeless' and classic it is!

Paula deen is incredible, and so is this recipe (LICKING SPOONS or NOT. It's part of her bubbly, interesting, and outgoing personality. PLUS, your not the one thats consuming her food that she PERSONALLY makes for HER FAMILY. Don't act like you've never done that before or even shared a cup or a spoon with your children or family. ANYWAYS. PAULA IS AWESOME!!! =]

....Paula licking her spoon, why do you even watch her show?

Anyway, I remember this punch from back in the 50's and 60's but had forgotten about it. I served it at a shower recently and everyone loved it. I'll put this permanently in my recipe box so I don't forget about it again. Thanks, Paula!
