I was interrupted while making these cookies to distraction and left out the flour! Before I put them in the oven I noticed the bowl with the dry sifted ingredients sitting on the counter. I dumped the rolled cookies that were ready to go back into their bowl then added the dry ingredients and mixed well. I proceeded from there. Low and behold the cookies came out very very good. I can't wait to make them again without interference! Next time I will keep my mind on baking not texting.

these cookies are crazy good....I haven't found anyone that says different .... and truly you just can''t have one..... highly recommended for sure....

Made these last night and had about 5 myself. These cookies are very moist and flavorful. You can really pick up on all the spices. I'm bringing them to a friends house tomorrow.....I hope they last. I will be passing this recipe on to friends. You have to try these!

I loved them! My husband asked that I not frost all of them...he's a purest. I really like the moist texture and the symphony of spices. I generally don't have buttermilk on hand and I tend to shy away from it but I happened to have a couple recipes I wanted to make that called for it. I'm glad I did. Move over Mrs. Fields!

I have been making these since they came out in Paula magazine about 2 years ago. They are my husbands all time favorite cookies. I follow the receipe and they turn out delicious every time.

They were so delicious!!!!! everyone that had one cookie couldn't help but have one more, one after another.I have to rate this as a 10 star in words.....awsome recipe!!!

These are the very best oatmeal cookies I have made. Everyone loved them. The only thing I would change was the icing. I think they are excellent plain but if I did the icing again it would be a simple butter cream icing and drizzled on the cool cookies.

The cookies were just fair. My husband loves oatmeal cookies but he didn't like these at all.
