I followed this recipe exactly except for 1 thing. I used steel cut oats instead of rolled and my cookies came out flat. They taste great and stay together - once they've cooled but I was disappointed that I seemed to be the only one with this problem. I can't imagine that it was just because of the oats but oh well.

These are fabulous cookies. I didn't make the icing. I have to have sugar-free food so I substituted the light brown sugar with Splenda's brown sugar. Awesome!

Seems like a lot of "stuff" in the recipe but worth it in the end! I added peanut butter M&M's-so good!

These are the msot balanced cookie I have ever eaten, the dough isn't very sweet, so the addition of the brown butter icing just wakes up the sweetness in the raisins!! It's simply yummy.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like these b/c of all the spices but they are excellent! I didn't make the icing. They are very soft and fluffy. I fully recommend them!

The recipe says that this batch yields 48 cookies. I made them the same size as suggested and got 100 out of the batch! They are delicious with or without icing.
