I've wanted to make homemade lasagna for the longest time and this recipe was fantastic! I used both pork and ground meat; however, you can probably get by on only using 3/4 pound for each. Also, 1/2 an onion is plenty. I topped it off with Barilla's tomato & basil sauce. It was PERFECT! I've made it twice and will definitely make it again. Enjoy!

This is the first time I've made lasagna and it was delicious with tons of flavor. I did substitute ricotta for cottage cheese. Will definatley make this again, everyone loved it.

It was the first time making lasagna and it turned out great! It tasted so yummy! I liked the cottage cheese mix instead of the ricotta cheese. Next time I think I will add in some black olives. It did take a lot of prep work but it was great for a mellow sunday dinner! THANKS PAULA!

I made it and my family and I thought it could use some kick, just tasted like a lasagna, not anything special. I do love Paula Deen's recipes, (most generally I cut 1/2 of the fat out of her recipes and they are GREAT! This one I made exactly like the directions. I was looking for something savory. If you like lasgna that is good use this recipe.

i usually buy the stouffer's lasagna for my family, so this was the first time i made my own, and it came out wonderful - thanks, paula!!!
ps... i substituted the cottage cheese for ricotta, and instead of all the different seasonings, i just used mccormick's italian seasoning blend, and i found no-boil barilla pasta... i also didn't drain the meat, and i didn't have a chance to simmer the entire thing for 30-40 min... however, i followed MOST of the directions, and like i mentioned, the lasagna must've weighed like 10 pounds LOL it was super-meaty and not runny and sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good that i'll make it this weekend AGAIN.

I tried this recipe on Sunday, and it is so delicious! I was bragging about it so much at work, my friends asked to try it just to make sure it was as good as I said. Needless to say, they have both requested the recipie so that they can make it for thier families. I also made the garlic bread the same night, it is also very delicious. Paula you always have the best dishes, I love to watch you cook (and eat your many dishes. keep up the good work, and keep those recipies coming

This is the best lasagna I've had in years. I used hot Italian sausage and it was very good though I don't think it needs it. Just delicious! I finally found my lasagna recipe! Thanks Paula...you rock!
