I followed the recipe, except I used ricotta instead of cottage cheese and didn't use the oven ready noodles. It came out great. The only thing that I think I would change next time is to make more of the ricotta/parmesan filling. I ran out before the 3rd layer. I also put fresh mozzarella on the top because had some and had already used up the 2 bags of shredded cheese. I guess maybe I had a heavy hand. My husband absolutely loved this and I can't believe how much of it we have left. It's so filling that we barely put a dent in it.

I'd never tried added eggs to the cheese filling, but it definitely made a difference. The whole thing was delicious!

This was a hit in the station, Even though I did screw up and put all the cheese on top before sliding it in the oven. The guys were very impressed with this. There was a very full and happy engine crew that night!

This is a GREAT recipe. The 9x13 pan yielded 8 large slices of lasagna. I did substitute ground turkey and italian turkey sausage for the beef/sausage mixture. And I used out favorite non-fat cottage cheese. Turned out yummy for our Valentine's dinner.. Will definitely make again!!
**After making this a few times, I make a little extra cheese mixture by using the entire 16oz container of cottage cheese, the entire 8oz package of cheese and add an extra egg. Works great! I also bought a Rachel Ray lasagna pan and no longer experience the overflow in the oven, fantastic!

Definatly delicious I also used ricotta instead of cottage cheese but either way i bet it will be amazing, i like a little zip to my food so i used a good bit of red pepper flakes and i found it difficult to make the cheese mixture strech couldnt hurt to make some extra!!

Made this for a dinner party and it was a hit. Followed the directions exactly except I used ricotta instead of cottage cheese and I used extra mozzarella cheese . The oven ready lasagna noodles worked great. First time making lasagna, but I'll definitely make it again!

This recipe is easy and delicious. I've made it with ricotta instead of cottage cheese--either works. Only complaint I have is that I seem to run short on the cheese and egg mixture when making it but nobody but me notices that. This is the only recipes my brothers have asked me to make repeatedly!

I use ricotta instead of the cottage cheese, but keep everything else the same. My husband LOVES this lasagna, and he's not easy to please. Way to go Paula!
