The picture looked so good, but the final product didn't do it for me or my husband. We won't be trying this one again.

Southern cooking is very rich in flavor, calories, and if something is sweet, it is sweet. Period. It's all about over the top, but then again, I'm a born southern girl. These bars aren't "too sweet" as one reviewer said. They are a perfect southern confection! Thank you, Paula!!!

This recipe offers the best of all worlds. Froms its delicately sweet icing to the wonderful texture of the coconut and pecans, these cookies are pleasing to the eye as well as the tastebuds. And best of all, it uses simple, everyday ingredients.

I loved this recipe. It's easy to put together with ingredients that are usually in the pantry.

I watched Paula make these and thought they would be a good finger food around the holidays. I am glad I made them before I took them anywhere. They were not terrible but certainly not what I expected. I will not throw them away but I will not make them again either. They are a waste of calories and money as well. I love most of Paula's recipes but this was a disappointment.

1st I made these for the family and we loved them. I took them to a church potluck, and they disappeared. One little boy went back for seconds and took 3 of the last 4 left on the platter. I have requests to bring them to the Harvest dinner. That's a real vote of approval if I ever had one.

I also am not a fan of coconut so followed another reader's suggestion and substituted toffee chips for the coconut. Delicious!! Everyone in my family loved them.

This is a very quick and easy recipe. It went over so big I couldn't tell you how many people loved. This is a great recipe to bring to any party.

This is very easy & delicious. To satisfy my chocolate fetish I drizzled a chocolate icing over the filling before the top cookie was placed. Was wonderful.
