This is my GO TO recipe for pork chops!! No more dry, tough pork chops! The recipe couldn't be easier and everyone in my family loves them. I usually serve them over rice.

My family liked this recipe. I don't think the chops were fork tender but they were tasty. I only had beef broth....turned out fine. Also added mushrooms at the end. Served over rice.

Unbelievably good recipe. Moist pork chops which fall off the bone.

Made this recipe for the second time last night. The flavor is awesome (if you follow the recipe. I can't, however, seem to get the "tenderness" thing right. Both times, my chops were tender, but not as tender as I expected. On the show, I watched as Paula's fork was enough to cut the chops, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I think, since I followed the recipe exactly, the cook time must be off. Next time, I will try simmering for an hour instead of the suggested 45 minutes.

very easy and delicious. One pot meal with easy clean up. Chops were moist and had just the right amount of heat from the cayenne and black pepper to give it a little kick. Served it over quick cooking rice. Next time will double the recipe and use my electric skillet which has a bit more room.

Who ever is stating that this dish is flavorless must have lost their taste buds! My husband and I thought is was very good. The prk chops were very tender and the cayenne gave it a little kick. I added corn starch at the end to make gravy. Great with roasted fingerling potatoes with garlic. I do agree the veggies were mushy. we just did not eat them.I think they give flavor to the chops. I will do it the same way and not serve the veggies.

Not sure why this recipe is attributed to Ms. Deen with the comment at the end. This dish wasn't good. You have a large amount of pork water left at the end of the cooking. Even if you thicken it, it still has little to no flavor. Others have complained the dish is dry. Blame that on today's pork, not the dish. To me, broth, peppers and onions just don't make a flavorful dish. Sure, you can tweak the recipe, but there are too many other good ways to do pork chops that produce a much better dish.

I didn't have chicken broth, so I used beef broth instead. It turned out amazing! My bf couldn't stop raving about them! Adding the vegetables the last 20 minutes, instead of at the beginning will ensure they don't get mushy. Will definitely make again and continue to use the beef broth.
