I too, didn't think I liked this pie. My MIL always made it for my DH but since I didn't eat it, I just never made it......and we've been married almost 51 years !!
Anyway, I made this yesterday for his birthday and he loved it. And then I ate a piece and realized that I had been missing something really tasty all these years. I couldn't believe how easy it was to make.....and I will definitely bake this one again.
Great recipe.

I have NEVER like sugar cream pie of any sort until I made this. My husband wanted me to make him one because they are expensive in the store. The first 2 or 3 pies didn't turn out so well, but now I know the recipe by heart. I have never watched the video and probably don't mix it the way your suppose to but it turns out every time. FOR THOSE HAVING TROUBLE: I put the flour and sugar in the bowl and then add the milk...cream it together and then while whipping I pour in the whipping cream and wham. Put a few butter pieces and nutmeg on top and in the oven it goes. Cooking time may very for some but make sure you cook at 450 for the first 10 minutes and then turn oven down to 350. GOOD LUCK!!
