I think I first saw this recipe in a cooking magazine. I tried it and found them really crumbly (but tasty. The next time I added 1/3 to 1/2 cup whole wheat flour to the recipe (allowed on South Beach--phase 2 and it really helped the texture! Now I have an additional option for a great cookie! A great substitute for the FAT SUGARY cookie. Sugar substitutes will leave an after taste and I am thankful for these substitutes, after taste and all. Anyone remember saccharine? Now that was an after taste that lasted for days! I found that the longer the cookies were in the container the better they got...also sprinkling the splenda on top gave them an additional sweetness...Great Melt in your mouth Diabetic treat!

Let me just say that you should READ THE WHOLE RECIPE BEFORE MIXING INGREDIENTS! I used normal sugar and used the 1 and 1/3 cup listed in the ingredients instead of the 1 cup (the extra 1/3 is for sprinkling on top called for in the directions. I was looking for a very simple recipe I could make without having to shop for anything, and these still turned out pretty darn good, even with the extra sugar! Yes, a bit crumbly, but mine were very moist, so I didn't mind the crumbs--just something for the dogs to enjoy off the plate!!! This is my first "Paula" recipe!

The cookies were as promised quick and easy to make. Unfortunately that "fake sugar" taste really ruined them.

These cookies are simply wonderful. I am on low carb/sugar free meal plan. The only problem is they were too crumbly. What is the problem and how do I solve that? The taste however, is devine

Crumbly with a weird aftertaste, but my carb conscious and diabetic coworkers enjoyed them.

Have been on the South Beach diet and had to try these. Was very surprised at how good the cookies are. One would never believe that there is no flour in these. Will be making these for friends who are watching there sugar.
