This divinity is just as good as the candy my mother and grandmother made. My grandmother used divinity as icing for her Brownstone Cake. I'll definitely use this recipe for the divinity when I make our family's Brownstone Cake this year.

God bless you Paula! I've been with my husband for 22 years and tried to make divinity for him once about 18 years ago because his grandma use to make it when he was young and it's his favorite. Well it came out sooo bad that I've never had the nerve to try again....until I saw your recipe. I was scared to death to try, but I did and I just have to say....if I can make this, anybody can. I'm a cook, not a baker or candy maker. This divinity is wonderful....seeing the happiness and memories in my husbands' face was proof that I have finally found a way to make his favorite divinity just like his grandma. Thank you Paula!

It is usely hard to get divinity to set up but this recipe was very easy. I even added some dried fruit to this for christmas and it was wonderful.

This should not be rated medium if you have a Kitchen-Aid. It should be rated super easy. It is a very good recipe. I altered the flavoring with imitation orange and eliminated the vanilla. I also did not add the nuts. This is the first time I have ever made this and the recipe was easy to follow...even from the other room!

Taste is great,but...5 min.can not be correct on the mixing time. It takes about 18 min.to loose the shine.

I watched Paula make this on her show a couple of years ago and I have made it for my Mom for special events ever since. It turns out perfectly everytime, and believe me, I'm no great candy maker. A simple, wonderful rececipe.

I live in the Seattle area which is very humid. This recipe turned out better than I expected. My only issue was I used the wrong bowl to mix in which held in too much heat. Once I placed the bowl in another bowl with ice it began to set up perfectly. My mother was a little jealous, hers hasn't turned out this well in years.

This is very very good. I love Divinity but usually don't have much success, but this turned out perfect.
Thanks!
