  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 4 pints milk
  • 1/2 pint Bourbon

*RAW EGG WARNING

Food Network Kitchens suggest caution in consuming raw and lightly-cooked eggs due to the slight risk of Salmonella or other food-borne illness. To reduce this risk, we recommend you use only fresh, properly-refrigerated, clean, grade A or AA eggs with intact shells, and avoid contact between the yolks or whites and the shell.

Excellent! Deliciously creamy! I served this recipe at a Christmas day party and even those who hadn't previously like eggnog, loved it! The recipe makes a lot, so I chilled half and refilled the punch bowl throughout the day. I strongly recommend using a Kitchen Aid stand mixer rather than a hand mixer. I tried both and got the perfect consistency with the stand mixer. I also added 4 more eggs for a richer egg taste. Be careful not to whip the cream too much, it will separate upon standing. Overall a very good recipe and one that I will be making again and again!!!

All I can say is that the bourbon kicked the other side. It was amazing. My husband never liked eggnog before but he asked me to make more for New Years Eve. I just have to lay a little low on the bourbon i think a put a little too much. :

As someone stated before this recipe tasted like melted ice cream, I agree! It did not have that rich egg flavor I was looking for. I did try to Dr. it up by adding more eggs that helped a little bit. Is eggnog suppose to seperate after sitting? Anyways I wont be using this recipe again maybe next year I will try Alton Browns recipe instead.
