I absolutely love these and thought there are many variations out there , having a mother from N. Carolina I know you have to make them with southern pecans, nothing else will do. Thanks Paula!

These are so simple and melt in your mouth delicious. I did add a 1/2 tsp of salt based on some other recipes I saw. Also changed the baking temp to 325 and shortened the time to 18-20 minutes. They were just divine!

I can't believe all the five-star reviews for this recipe. I bake quite often and usually enjoy Paula's recipes. Even though I followed it to a "T", this recipe was a stinker. The finished cookies looked great; but there was absolutely no flavor...just a puff of dry flour in your mouth. It would help to use salted butter, but I don't know if that is enough to save the recipe.

I am adding this recipe to holiday baking list! SO TASTY! I used my Kitchen Aid big mixer because I don't have a handheld but it turned out fine. Also I tried to do balls instead and need to master that technique. But VERY easy and very good. And they look so festive. Just like mom used to make!

I used to make these, but lost the recipe. I was worried about the 40 min. cooking time (I remember it being much shorter, but decided to try it anyway because it was a Paula Deen recipe. It was well worth the wait! They are even better than I remember. Thanks again Paula!

These cookies are delicious and easy to make! I made mine into small balls and renamed them "Dirty Snowballs". Thanks Paula!

My husband and I (and my bridesmaids made these beautiful cookies for our white and black-themed wedding, and gave them as favors in classy little black coffee bags monogrammed with our initials--they were beautiful and everyone loved them!

I have been looking for the recipe for Mexican Wedding Cookies. Thank you Paula.
I used to make these when my children were small (now adult young men and they loved them. These cookies have different names, but the same recipe.....Russian Tea Cookies; Butter Ball, etc.

Whoever wrote th review about these cookies being a total joke, you obviously don't know how to bake! These were so easy! What was it like five ingredients?
Let's stick to Paula's recipe folks!
