I came across this recipe a couple years ago, and have been making it ever since! They're always gone in a matter of minutes. This is one recipe that will forever stay in my book. Paula never fails me, especially when it comes to dessert!

DELICIOUS! I didn't have a food grater so I mixed ingredients with spoon and blender. I also didn't have confectioners sugar but looked up how to make it myself. It's just corn starch and sugar. Put it on a blender and wala! I also didn't have pecans so used regular nuts. Love this recipe.

Delicious! I varied it thusly after trying the original:
+ 1/4 tsp almond extract
made the cookies as large 2 tbsps rather than 1 and they yielded exactly 22 cookies
Baked them for 1 hour

These cookies are literally the BEST cookies i have ever had. Now that i have made them once, they are always in the house and i made about 3 dozen at a time. they only last for about 2 days. they are so easy to make and so delicious. they have a perfect amount of sweetness and the texture is to die for. it's like you're eating a powdered sugar cloud. absolutely wonderful! thank you so much Paula for sharing this recipe. these cookies will be in my family for a very long time. everyone MUST try these!

This message is to Paula.....this recipe is generations old im my family...it is called "Butter Balls" by my ex-husbands grandmother (who helped raise him. In our family it is not Christmas without these cookies! The only difference is we rollthem into balls, and the oven temp.is 325..for 10-12 minutes. These cookies keep well for up to two weeks in a tight fitting cookie tin...I layer them with waxed paper. My sister and my daughter, and several best friends ask for these every year for their christmas gift from me! Have a Blessed Holiday Season! Debbie Elliott FT,. Walton Beach, Fl.
