These mexican wedding cookies were delicious and easy to make. My father (who is very very picky and not much of a sweet eater even liked them! He did have a suggestion however, to really make the flavor of the nuts pop, fry them for a little bit then dry them of course and add them to the mixture. I thought they were delicious just the way they were. They only lasted one day in my house.

absolutely fantastic! these cookies are so delicious. they did take a little over the 40 minutes for some reason and when done, my crescents didn't look so "crescent-y". next time i think that i will make circles instead. but a wonderful recipe.

I feel this recipe does not compare to Paula's "Buttery Finger Cookies" from the Candy/Sweets Show. Similiar ingredients, but with much better taste especially if you add mini chocolate chips. Try them!

I was looking for a recipe for these cookies because my local baker charges $0.85 a piece for the small bite sized goodies. After finding Paula's recipe and seeing the reviews I decided to give it a try....these are worth the cost savings alone.

So delicious and so simple to make...
The house smells divine while they cook in the oven!!
I exclude the nuts and they still come out perfect everytime i make these!
Simplicity is the key in these cookies...
And it works out for the best!

This recipe is so easy and delicious. IT says you need an electric mixer but you dont..Just make sure to add the flour a bit at a time though. My room mate and I thought the cookies were a ton better when we substituted the pecans with hazelnuts. Don't flatten the dough and use cookie cutters....for some reason it tastes a TON better when they're in the shape that Paula made them in. It's tedious but worth the effort. The only bad part about this is once you've eaten the whole batch, you realize you've just consumed a cup of butter :(

Let me just start of by stating that Paula Deen even temps a heavy duty dieter like me to cheat once in a while. If you don't have powdered sugar in your kitchen at the moment you can crush regular sugar in one of those cheap small coffee bean grinders. I added some chopped raisins into the dough and next time I am planing to use candied orange peal without the nuts. This recipe is so quick and simple that it will defiantly become my favorite because all of the ingredients are always at hand.
