I am making these as x-mas gifts this year because everyone at Thanksgiving could not get enough of them!
Instead of rolling them in powdered sugar, I sifted it ontop (it looks better that way.

Quick and easy to make. They are just as good after being frozen and are simple to make in different sizes for dainty or macho events. Also good with cinnamon mixed in with the confectioner's sugar or with one end sugared and the other end dipped in or drizzled with melted chocolate.

Just had a huge 40th fiesta for my husband. Gave this recipe to his sister to make. They were delicious. I had to have my husband take the rest to work because I couldnt stop eating them. Perfect balance of sweet and buttery and the cripy texture that would end up melting in your mouth. Make these!! You wont be sorry. (until you get on the scale

These are absolutely delicious! I had all the ingredients in my pantry except for pecans. I substituted walnuts instead. I only put half a cup, which was more than enough for me. These cookies would be great even without nuts. I took the cookies out after 40 minutes, but put them back in until they were light brown on the bottom. They were perfect after that. TRY THEM!

I made 4 different types of cookies for Christmas and these were the only ones that were gone literally in minutes. I actually had to hide some for company I was getting after Christmas! Next year I am just making these and plenty of them. I used 2 cups of flour and baked at 350 for about 15 minutes. I rolled them into balls instead of making the crescent shape. They are so delicious.

These cookies are dangerous! BEWARE: You will have great difficulty exercising self-control when all is said and done.
After trying several different variations, I was amazed at how easy this recipe was to pull off (anyone who has ever fiddled with Play-Doh should be able to figure out how to form the crescent shape with no problem. The cookies were down-right delicious on the very first try. Even my 4-yr. old (who avoids any dessert that isn't chocolate couldn't resist a few!
Next time, I might try 1/2 the recommended amount of chopped nuts for a more subtle taste/texture, and the 40 minute cook time was practically TORTURE knowing how good the end result would be. Other than that, I have no complaints. That shouldn't shock me, though...Paula has NEVER steered me wrong!
