My man loves lots of flavor in his food so he isn't too fond of white rice, but when I made this recipe he loved it!!! He was even disappointed that I ate the serrano before he did haha! I promised him I would make it again though and save him the pepper : thank you for the great recipe!

I love rice, but this recipe while simple, just lacked flavor. I added garlic & chopped up peppers. Goes well with mole.
Patty is adorable. Would love to see her on your show again.

I love any kind of Mexican Rice! Ive never made any before, I picked this one and made an excelent choice. Fluffy and Moist! Some may pefer it a little less wet but I loved it. The only change i made was to dice the serano chile. Next time Ill add a little more parsley. You need to try this rice. oh and 2 plaintains is not enough! I paired this rice with Coconut Chicken and potato fries.

It had good flavor but the rice was way too wet. It also had too much oil. Next time it's best to add 1 tablespoon of oil and 1.5 cans of chicken stock/vegetable stock/water.

Not only were Patty's recipes delicious, so was her ease in front ofthe camera and adorable accent! ( My husband watched the entire show, too! She would be a great addition to the program lineup. I am hoping to see her again soon.

I agree with some of the other viewers. I think this was an excellent alternative to a tomato-based Mexican rice. Although, I didn't make the plantains with it (I love them, but was in a hurry, it was delicious served with my chicken enchilada casserole. Next time, I will definately make the whole meal as was shown.
The rice was very moist and had a lot of flavor, but wasn't over the top. I substituted jasmine rice for plain white rice, which gave it even more flavor and I also added a crushed garlic clove (because I put garlic in everything, basically.

    DELISH!

My family is so bored with your basic white rice in salsa. This rice was so much better! I could have eaten just the rice and skipped the rest of the meal. I didn't change a thing.

I made this recipe 2 days ago and was very good. As children we used to make twisted faces as we watched my Grandpa who was from "El D.F." (Mexico City plop gobs of sour cream over his rice and "bananas". Now I LOVE it! This was a good rendition and great with frijoles de Olla with homemade tortilla yummmmm!
