    these eclairs are amazing...everyone in my family loved em, i just substituted the custard filling with cream filling and it tasted even better but thats only because im not a big fan of custard.

    This is the first time I made eclairs. This recipe was a great hit with my family. I'm the baker of the family and they just though that I just made cookies. Well surprise. They thought they were from a bakery. Yippee. Only one thing (that's why no 5 stars it took longer than I anticipated. Just an FYI...I did check the youtube video to make sure I made this correctly...also a great big help. Thanks for the recipe.

    I haven't made eclairs in years but this recipe is exactly as I remember. Excellent! Not sure why so many people complain about the filling. I have made many custards and perhaps they just didn't incorporate the eggs properly or allow it to get hot enough. I took the temp to 170 over a med. heat stirring constantly. That is the trick. It was sweet, creamy and smooth as silk.

    I really did not like this recipe. The pasty turned out okay, but the filling was horrible! I guess that's what I get for trying to save time by trying a quicker recipe...

    Everyone who ate these thought they were delicious, but they took -much- longer than I had anticipated. I started around 7 at night (on a whim, of course and didn't finish till nearly 10! Also, the icing did not turn out as I expected at all (I didn't know if you were to use powdered or regular sugar, so I went with regular, instead of being thick and chocolaty, it was watery and more of a caramel appearance. It was delicious nonetheless, but not how I anticipated it at all. I would have rated 3 stars, however since they still turned out yummy 4 stars it was.

    very tasty even when it was my first ever time i did that kind of pastry. But I did use just 3 eggs but it was a hit with my father!!!!!!!!!! Thanks PD:
