Paula,..Great pastry recipe..I used it for sweet fruit tarts too. Same recipe only unsalted butter, plus a sprinkle of sugar..Its a really easy dough for those of us who are challenged when it comes to pastry..Thanks..Bobbie

I haven't made the pies, but I know they will be delicious. I have made a similar pie from the New Orleans Cookbook of years ago. As for "Anonymous" -- venom such as that spews from an extremely unhappy and perhaps disturbed person. (She is obviously affected by much more than Paula Dean. Dismiss him.

I made the filling for this recipe and substituted mini phyllo cups for Paula's crust recipe. The filling is so delicious. Thanks you Paula for a great dish!

I've been looking for a good chicken pot pie recipe that doesn't use potatoes, so I omitted the crawfish and used chicken. I also changed the seasoning to season salt and lemon pepper seasoning (as per Paula's chicken salad, also excellent! I would double the recipe next time. It was just too good! I'm completely perplexed by that negative review ... I'm from Georgia and I know several people (hello? my favorite people! that are like Paula! She and her sons deserve all their sucess.

Excellent recipe! Can't always get crawfish, so also did it with shrimp. As far as the bad review, a true southerner would not attack another, much less her children. Shame on you. I suggest you make some "Sledgehammer Punch" and RELAX. Cooking is all in fun. You take this way to seriously.

Thank you, Paula, for yet another flavorful recipe my entire family and guests loved. To Anonymous: People who leave comments like yours should, at the very least, have the courage of their convictions by displaying their names/locations.

Found this to be very tasty. The "reviewer" below, if truly from the South, should know that it is in very poor taste to (1 leave such a rude message and (2 do so without being forthright enough to sign your name!!

You stole this recipe from Emeril. You and your phony, disgusting, slurpy "Southern accent" (along with your former "illness" are as false as a $3.00 bill. We true Southerners can recognize your type a mile away. You and your so-called "sons" disgust me. I cannot believe that the Food Network buys into your crap. DO NOT capitalize upon our Southern heritage, Paula "Deen".
