I needed a tasty side dish to go with a roasted chicken. This was perfect! I was amazed because the recipe only used a few ingredients. Made one change: I only used crimini mushrooms. It's what I had on hand but, no prob. - there was still deep flavor!

I used this recipe as a side dish with Guy Fiery's " Dirty P's garlic ginger chicken thighs" and wow what a pair together it works so well.

Great! Made it for Christmas dinner, just used button and portabela mushrooms. Made it the day before and placed it in the crockpot to warm the next day. Wonderfully simple.

I did a search on Mushroom Gravey and came up on this. I must say it is an excellent way to spice up rice and, like most others reveiews I read, I substituted brown rice for the white. Also I did not use as much butter as Paula prescribed and substituted with olive oil. Good eatin', they want this one again.

I had my doubts about this recipe because it seemed too simple, but it actually turned out really good. I used brown rice and also added lots of leeks and no scallions because I didn't have any. It's super easy to make and very tasty.

...and easy to make! I actually substituted with brown & wild rice. Still flavorful, made recipe more hearty and nutty.
