Ingredients

  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 15 cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies (recommended: Oreo), crushed
  • 4 bananas, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • Chocolate syrup

Directions

Whip the cream with the sugar until firm peaks form.

Fill a large glass bowl or small parfait glasses with half the cookies, banana slices, nuts and half the whipped cream. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the cream, then layer the remaining cookies, bananas, remaining whipped cream, a little more chocolate syrup, and then toasted nuts. Serve.

    not a fantastic first impression

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
Firstly, make sure you have a mixer of some sort to whip the sugar and whipping cream...started to take FOREVER, until I... finally pulled out my hand mixer. My first impression of this dish was not satisfying at all. The oreo's were so crunchy (obviously) that they overpowered the dish and you couldnt taste or really enjoy the bananas. I decided to give it a night in the fridge...and let me tell you...it was DELICIOUS the next day!! This tasted more like a "Banana Desert" cookies were soft and didn't overpower the soft bananas. I will definitely make this dish again, but will prepare it the night before!! YUMMY!!Read more
