I made these according to the directions the first time, and topped it with a homemade strawberry icing. Pretty good. The second time I made this recipe, I added 1/2 c. granulated sugar in addition to the powdered sugar and I think it came out much better. Definitely put in the fridge overnight. It makes the consistency so much better. :

THis is a really easy recipe. Great tasting and fun to make with the kids.
You can't go wrong with a Paula Deen recipe.

Cookies are AMAZING but the frosting needs to be that thin kind so it forms a glaze. Highly recommend!!!

the cookies were good, however, i'd keep it in the fridge overnight. we tried to use it after three hours and it was still kinda soft and fell apart kinda easy. we put the rest in the fridge and it was fine the next day.
