I made these cookies for halloween and they dissappeared very quickly. I had to make them for Thanksgiving also. I read some of the other reviews and took the advise of some of them... left out the raisins and added more chocolate chips and m&m's. I also used natural peanut butter. BIG HIT!!! This recipe goes in my recipe book with 5 stars.

This is one of the few cookies I can eat because I am allergic to wheat. Theese cookies are delicious and very easy to make. I have made Paula's recipes before and she has a bit more of a sweet tooth than I do, so I cut the white sugar to 1/2 cup.I think I might cut both sugars in half next time because I found the cookies very sweet but my boys loved them as is. I used a # 30 scoop and packed it full because I wanted a monster size cookie. I had to increase cooking time to 15 minutes . They came out great, chewy, chocolately and beautifully shaped. This is a great comfort cookie and great for the guys in your life. Good job Paula.

This was super easy to follow and very quick. Now I need to make a second batch because we ate the first one before I could fill the gift tins.

I made these cookies last year for Christmas, and they were outstanding! Very easy to do, and the recipe makes even more cookies than it claimed to yield - and they're not little puny things either. LOL I'm not a big fan of raisins, so I omitted them, but that's up to you. You also might want to keep a strong arm nearby, ready to stir just in case, because this dough is VERY dense.

I found this recipe and made it to send to my cousin overseas. Our entire family loved them. I have made them several more times and I haven't met a person that doesn't like them.
