Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (12-ounc) jar creamy peanut butter
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup multi-colored chocolate candies
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup raisins, optional
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 4 1/2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal (not instant)

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or nonstick baking mats.

In a very large mixing bowl, combine the eggs and sugars. Mix well. Add the salt, vanilla, peanut butter, and butter. Mix well. Stir in the chocolate candies, chocolate chips, raisins, if using, baking soda, and oatmeal. Drop by tablespoons 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Do not overbake. Let stand for about 3 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool. When cool, store in large resealable plastic bags.

WE LOVE THESE COOKIES, THEY HAVE SUCH A GOOD FLAVOR. I USED JIF EXTRA CRUNCHY PEANUT BUTTER, ONE CUP CHOCOLATE CHIPS, ONE CUP... M&M'S, 3/4 CUP WALNUTS, AND ABOUT 3/4 CUP OF RAISINS. THEY TURNED OUT PERFECT!!! I ONCE USED SALTED BUTTER IN A RECIPE AND IT DIDN'T TURN OUT. I NOW ONLY USE UNSALTED WHEN BAKING. JUST WONDER IF MAYBE THOSE OF YOU WHO HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE COOKIES HOLDING UP USED SALTED BUTTER? JUST A THOUGHT. Read more

The all in one BEST cookie ever!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I have made two batches of these cookies...The first batch was for my company Christmas party.. I followed the recipe exactly... and they turned out great.so good in fact that I had to make another batch two days later for my family. The second ones went over even better...I put in a whole 16.3 ounce jar of Honey Roasted Peanutbutter by Peter Pan and a whole teaspoon of vanilla instead of half teaspoon. With the little extra peanutbutter and vanilla flavor; the batter wasn't so crumbly and it held together better and has a bit smoother texture and stays softer ....I have to make more for the people I have given some too...everyone loves them and they are so simple and fast...Thanks form Odessa Tx.Read more

    Higher Temp

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
I made half a dozen of these exactly as the recipe says and they came out wayy too gooey and fell apart even after being... refrigerated. I then raised the oven temp to 425 and baked for 9 minutes with the rest of the dough in half dozen batches, they came out perfect! Held together and kept their form, but still moist on the inside, taste wonderful! Read more
