    Too sweet and rich

Rated: 2 stars out of 5
My husband really loved this pie. I felt that it was way to rich and sweet. I used fat free cool whip instead of the whipped... cream. I used the mixer instead of folding the cool whip into the peanut butter mixture. It made it a little lighter in texture and not so dense. I also used a store bought chocolate crust. I'm not sure I would make this recipe again.Read more

    Still Licking our lips good!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Well, I came to looking for a peanut butter pie recipe after we had a piece of PB pie at a very nice restaraunt. I found this... recipe and adore Miss Paula, how can you go wrong! I made this and it was spot on compared to the yummy piece we had out! I added crushed heath bar on the bottom of the crust, whip cream on top, and crushed pieces of a heath bar on top of the whipping cream! Like I said, that was sooooo good! Lip smacking good! Thank You Mrs. Salter and Paula!Read more

    Hit of the BBQ!!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I used a premade graham cracker crust and used Smucker's Magic Shell Chocolate Fudge flavor (icecream topping) on the bottom... and the sides of the crust. Just take a silicone brush to spread it and pop it in the freezer while you prepare your other ingredients. I also took some Reeses Miniture Peanut Butter Cups and froze them too. Put them in the food prosessor to break them up to add a decorative topping. Otherwise I made the pie per directions except I used creamy peanut butter (Jif). The pie was a hit at my BBQ!!! YUMMY Getting ready to make it again right now.Read more

I made a few substitutions to the recipe to reduce the fat content a little bit, and it turned out delicious!!! Instead of... heavy cream, i used an 8 oz. fat free cool whip and 1/4 cup skim milk, and i used fat free cream cheese. Read more

    Very rich and easy!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
My daughter made these for a barbeque that we had, and at the same time made 3 for a church luncheon. It was a big hit at... both. The church ladies called for the recipe. She added chocolate to one of the pie crusts and that was a nice addition. Will certainly make it again.Read more

    Peanut Butter and Nutella Version

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
For a twist, I made half the recipe using creamy peanut butter and half using Nutella (a chocolate and hazelnut cream... available in most supermarkets). To keep it bit-sized, I filled store-bought pastry shells (Croustades, in our local market). As this is such a rich dessert, bite-sizes were appreciated more than whole pie slices. Everyone loved them and wanted to try both versions. They didn't last long.Read more
