I just made this pie for a "Choctoberfest" get together at my friends house. Everyone made something chocolate and then we decided whose was the most gooey, best presentation, and most delicious. This one won for most delicious! Thank you, Paula!

I went ahead and got a chocolate crust ready-made at the store to add even more chocolate. I also wanted it to look more decadent, so I cut up pieces of the candy bar to sprinkle on top, along with some miniature chocolate peanut butter cups from the baking aisle. Then I drizzled the top wtih chocolate syrup. I think anyone who looked at it couldn't wait to dive in.

The best praise: My 5-year-old son said it was the most "beautiful"-tasting pie he had ever eaten.

There was nothing wrong with this pie, it just wasnt as addicting and amazing as most. I agree it would be better with Oreo crust. I also added some extra caramels when melting. And a guide for you - 4 cups of cool whip equals a 12 oz tub.

This was a huge hit. My husband LOVED it!! We were surprised at how creamy and light it was. I would try it with real whipped cream next time. This is a great, fast recipe. Chop the candy bar into small pieces to help it melt faster!! I also used 6 regular sized candy bars since I couldn't find the king-sized.
