This is incredible, but once you start making it, people will never let you stop. I have to make this for every function I am invited to; this and my peach cobbler. It can get a bit expensive but I think it is well worth it to how much people enjoy and talk about it. There are never any leftovers even if I do a double batch. This is the only one I ever make now. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I definitely didn't see that it called for 2 cups of milk so luckily I just kept adding some in until it looked okay! I personally don't like whipped toppings so I left it out and it was still very rich and yummy! I'm gonna try this with chocolate pudding to and maybe strawberry to make a cheesecake like dessert. item not reviewed by moderator and published

My all time fave, but what am I doing wrong? I have made this dish at least 10 times and each time following the recipe exactly I have very runny and messy pudding that does not firm up even after overnight in the fridge. I think the 2 cups of milk combined with the can of condensed milk is too much liquid for one 5 oz box of pudding mix. Everyone loves it and asks for the recipe but the presentation is ruined by this. This last time I actually used 3-3.4 oz of boxes of pudding and used 1 cup milk (instead of the 2 cups) for each box and finally this pudding was just the right consistency. From reading the reviews it appears my situation is a rarity but can't figure this one out especially following the directions. item not reviewed by moderator and published

Just made 2 pans of this last night and my family LOVED it! I was so happy because I tried to make it once before a few years ago and flopped. lol. This recipe was soooo easy. Will be making it again for sure! item not reviewed by moderator and published
A coworker made this for our Thanksgiving potluck and it was AMAZING! Tastes just like Magnolia Bakery's banana pudding from NYC. I'll be making this for Christmas for sure! item not reviewed by moderator and published
This is the best banana pudding recipe by far. I use nilla wafers instead and its always a hit! Thanks Paula! item not reviewed by moderator and published
We make this all the time it's great. item not reviewed by moderator and published
We don't use as many bananas as it calls for. item not reviewed by moderator and published
It's because you didn't pay attention to the OZ. of the pudding pack. The recipe calls for a single 5 oz pack of powdered pudding, not the new 3.4 oz packs. So use 1 + 1/2 packs of pudding for the 2 cups of milk and you'll get the right consistency. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Well said and this is the best ever. item not reviewed by moderator and published
