My man is very picky and LOVES his banana pudding...he LOVED this recipe even though it wasnt traditional...this is definitely a good recipe! I used Cool Whip and Ready Whip (because I ran out of Cool Whip...it came out very yum. Oh...and I added a middle layer of the cookies and bananas because I like that crunch effect...it worked out well.

This recipe is so easy to make that there is no excuse to mess it up. Make sure your bananas are ripe and you follow the recipe and you will have an AMAZING banana pudding. I have made this a few times. Mostly with chessman cookies but a couple of times with Nilla Wafers, both get rave reviews. I do sometimes substitute the Cool Whip for homemade whipped cream (made without sugar so it cuts sweetness just a tad.

Paula you did it again! I loved this version of banana pudding! It taste great and it was a pretty dish to bring to work. My husband thought it was too sweet but I personally do not think there is such a thing as too sweet! I only had a box of cream cheese pudding so i used that instead of vanilla pudding but it was very very good! Thanks Paula!

My husband purchased a new mixer for me and we needed something to try it out on. We came on to this recipe and decided it was the one. The only change we made was adding 3 bananas baked at 350 degrees in the skins for about 15 minutes then mashing them and adding them to the pudding mixture. He doesn't care for dessert in general, and really dislikes pudding. He ate three bowls...

This is a good, but a bit rich for my taste. My family loves it, so I still make it for them.
