I took this to a party, and got totally rave reviews. I only made one change - I used slightly less milk in the instant pudding mixture to be sure it wasn't runny. It set up perfectly and cut like a dream. I'll never use another banana pudding recipe, ever!! Thanks, Paula.

Has a little different taste with the cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk. Very rich and good!

This was the first dessert I made after I had my daughter and could get off my gestational diabetes diet and that says a lot!! This is so much more rich than reg. banana pudding. My husband hates pudding in general, but everyone else has loved it! Eat it in the first couple days, or the bananas get all brown and yucky, although I doubt you will have any left longer than that. Use any kind of shortbread cookies if your store doesn't carry Chessmen..it's still good.

Everyone loved this!! Would it be too much to use banana cream pudding instead of vanilla?? I'd also just put cookies on top next time.

I have made this pudding twice for my family and they loved it. They were not big fans of my old banana pudding, but this one has garnered numerous requests for a repeat performance. A relative in S.Korea has tried it and vowed to never return to our old recipe.
    This is truly delicious!!!
