I know I'm not going to make any friends when I say, I was really disappointed in this recipe. It's very easy to make and has great presentation but we just didn't care for it at all. Everyone found it a far too rich and lack luster. Maybe I had my hopes too high after all the great reviews. I think I'll stick to My Mamas recipe from now on.

This is the best banana pudding! The cookies really make it extra delicious. So much better than regular banana pudding. The cookies take it up a notch, much better than vnnilla wafers.

All I should say is OMG, but I can't stop talking about this recipe. The cookies are wonderful in the recipe. I always used vanilla wafers before, but I have seen the light. And all the bananas with the pudding, it was to die for. TRY, TRY, TRY

I LOVED THIS RECIPE!!! I love banana pudding too. SO I tried the recipe and it was amazing. I took it to work (it makes so much that it to too much for just one person to eatand my co-workers loved the recipe as well. I recommend everyone who loves banana pudding to try this. It is SO thick and those Chessman cookies were so delicious. I will be adding this banana pudding to my list of permanent recipes!!

Very addicting, just the right touch of sweet and everybody in my family love it; they actually fight over who is getting the last piece. I followed the recipe exactly, for those that are wondering whether I am rating the exact recipe. No substitutions!

Very easy and very yummy. The first time I made it, it was with the Chessmen cookies but I've since switched over to the vanilla wafers. I think they just go with the flavor a little better and the Chessmen don't really seem to soften up at all and can make it a little awkward to eat.

Awesome pudding! Whatever you do, be sure to use vanilla flavored pudding. There is nothing worse than the flavor of artificial bananas! Also be sure that you let the Cool Whip thaw completely so it blends well. No need to waste money on whipped cream. Let the pudding sit for a few hours in the fridge.

This was a hit! I love the chessmen, however, I am so used to Nilla Wafers I may use them next time and do layers of banana, wafers and cream....
