I have made this many times - it is always requested by my friends. It is especially great to make during the Holidays as Pepperidge Farm has Holiday Chessmen cookies which instead of the chessmen characters there are wreaths, candy canes, etc. So festive and delicious!

Love this recipe. It is always a hit at parties. I would not make any changes to Paula's recipe.

I whipped my own creme and added two teaspoons of Baileys to replace the vanilla extract. Other than that, I followed the recipe precisely and it turned out great!

I guess I'm going to have to jump on the bandwagon. I'm not really a banana pudding fan. I love the custard not really the bananas. When my Mom use to make it i would eat around the bananas. Well let me tell you this is just as good as the cook custard.

I actually made this banana pudding for someone else and forgot to add the sweeten whipped cream, and it was still a great hit. I can only imagine how it will turn out when I do it again. I'm going to send the recipe to my son, I know he will love it. I can't what to make it for a pot luck at work.

I didnt use the chessman cookies I used the mini vanilla wafers and I also added some vanilla flavoring. (snagged that part from one of the MANY reviews I read before I tried this recipe. Thanks Paula!!!

This receipe was introduced to me by my Very Best Friend on Thanksgiving, due to diet limitations mostly dairy intolerance. She modified the receipe for me and I must say, it was awesom. The dish she brought me was gone within 2 days. Then I decided to make the receipe for my co-workers. Instead of whole milk I used Almond Milk, Instead of regular cream cheese, I used fat free cream cheese, I used the chessman cookies in one receipe and vanilla wafers in another dish to compare. I used the whip topping as instructed and lastly I used banana flavored pudding. It was very light and delicious. Thank you Mrs. Deen for sharing and please thank your friend for passing along.

I made this for Thanksgiving instead of "my mama's" traditional one and everyone absolutely loved it. The chessman cookies were a nice addition. This is a kepper!

Fabulous twist on the classic banana pudding. I still used traditional vanilla wafers instead of the fancy cookies, but I highly recommend it either way!
