Absolutely scrumptious! One thing, instead of whipped topping, I made a rum whipped cream instead and O ... M ... G!!!!

This was so good. I made banana pudding only once before and it came out horrible. This was so easy and it tasted so yummy! I didn't think it was too sweet, it was perfect!

This is THE best banana pudding EVER! I used to hate banana pudding (something about the texture and nilla wafers always looked icky to me but a few years ago at a cook out, I saw people bum rushing this dish and so I decided to try it.

    O.M.G.

It's creamy and sweet, but the cream cheese balances it out perfectly. The chessman cookies are the proverbial icing on the cake.

This desert is requested by my neighbors and my work *every time* there is a get together for years now! Sure it gets pricey with the chessman cookies but it's a small price to pay to make everyone so happy. It's just my hubby and me, so I'm not allowed to make it at home (it would be done in a night, and hello! have you seen the ingredients!

    EDIT:
for Russ below, I LOL'd when I saw your improvements. Thanks :

It takes a lot of nerve to try to "improve" one of Paula's recipes, but this one is much better using banana pudding instead of French vanilla. Better banana flavor. And if you make it people will be asking for more...and more, and more!!! It's delicious!

This is my second time making the recipe. LOVE THIS Banana pudding...HOWEVER, will not use the sweetened condense milk as it has been kind of too sweet on both occassions. Other than that I love it!
