Disappointed. With so many 5 stars, I thought it would be great. I normally use the Magnolia Bakery recipe which in my book is a 5 star, but wanted to try something different. This recipe's ingredients sounded good, but the taste of sweetened condensed milk was a turnoff and that's what I kept tasting with every bite hence the low score.

Not impressed. The flavor was not as flavorful as I would have expected. Not worth the expense of the cookies either. It would be cheaper and probably taste better with a graham cracker crust honestly. The texture was more fluffy than I expected as well. I will not be adding this my recipe list.

Very disappointed. The taste is fair, not great: it's not much better than store bought banana pudding and that's so disheartening because a store bought banana pudding would have been half the cost. I followed a recommendation from a reviewer and added an additional pack of cream cheese and the amount was way too much for use. I adore Paula, but I MUCH prefer my grandmother's real banana pudding and won't make this dessert again.

This is always a hit when I bring it to parties or get togethers! It's really rich and so amazing! I like to make it the night before and let it set in the fridge over night.

I have been making this pudding for a few years..and was excited to see the recipe on FN! I must try it with chessmen cookies as I have been making it with pecan-sandies (crumbled. During the summer months I cut down the bananas and use strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries...makes a beautiful 4th of July dish!!! Have fun with the pudding base and try different fruits/treats mixed in.

I love this recipe and have made it several times over the years. If you've tried this you know how sweet it is and so my tip is to add an extra 8 oz block of cream cheese to the mix. By doing this it gives it more of a cheesecake taste and it will really fill up the serving dish!

i made this awhile ago and took it to my school to serve to my co-workers I do not like banana pudding but I still decided to give it a try because of the Chessman cookies. I loved it! My co-workers loved it! I used plain vanilla pudding and it was still delicious! I am going to try it with strawberries just like someone said on review. I will let you know.
