This was flavorful, but waaaay too sugary, and I didn't even add the orange glaze.
I would make this again, but I would cut the sugar in half, add the sugar, nuts and orange zest into the cream cheese itself, stuffing the biscuits and sealing them. Then I'd add the orange glaze. As it it now, it's just too sweet and grainy with sugar.

My husband doesn't care for orange flavored breakfasts so i used brown sugar and cinnamon and it came out great!

This recipe is a winner - it tastes like something from an artisan bakery. Easy to make - delicious - a big hit with my work peers. Surprise your friends and family with this one some cold morning with some fresh brewed coffee.

awesome, just awesome. I've made this coffee cake on several occassions and each time its a hugh hit. As another reviewer I always put the orange zest in the cream cheese. It's easy and really tasty.

The biscuit taste was not the best and yes, you CAN make this type of dough. Last week Cook's Country made a Monkey Bread (from scratch that was from a yeast dough and looked divine.

The girls at the slumber party went nuts over this (even tho I did not include nuts. Next time I make this I will probably use some sort of yeast dough and instead of only cream cheese in the center (I used the lower fat type I would like to either put in zest and/or orange marmalade. I also put cinnamon in the sugar/zest combination and used much less butter than was called for. This might also be good with almonds and a small amount of almond extract.

We love this recipe, I also add about 2tsp. of cinnamon to the orange zest, nuts, and sugar and I sprinkle some on the cream cheese as well! so super delicious, especially with oranges from my tree! Highly recommended!
