I gave it 1 star, because it required at least that.
Was NOT at all impressed with this recipe. In fact, it is SO very similar to Ina Gartners.
I'll stick with the recipe from the Oatmeal container top.
    SAD.

This is the first time that I used this recipe. It turned out tasty and chewy. I love oatmeal raisin cookies and had never tasted any thing better than this. Easy to make and definitely use it again. Thank you, Ms. Paula Deen for sharing your recipe.

Very moist and chewy cookie. I did not soak the nuts (walnuts instead of pecans and I did add a few leftover chocolate chips. Delicious.

this is my second time using this recipe, and they still did not turn out flat like the picture! they are still yummy! I just don't know what I am doing wrong, I followed the recipe exactly like it is written. They are also chewy, when I was going for crunchy.. They were still a hit my coworkers loved them..

We really liked these cookies! They were simply a chewy goodness! The only request from my picky son was not to soak the walnuts, he preferred them crunchy, and I would have to agree. I used walnuts instead of pecans because it was what I had on hand. I also used a little bit of extra cinnamon, just a personal preference.

Love the taste, not too keen on the consistency of the batter. When I put the cooled cookies into the cookie jar, they crumble; not sure what I am doing wrong. I have baked them longer which made it somewhat better but still an issue. I will have to keep tweaking the recipe, because they are very good.

Perfect. Easy & delicious with a chewy texture that is irresistible. They are a tiny bit sticky, but I didn't need the parchment paper. This is the best online cookie recipe I've used.
