I actually halfed the recipe and made one half with okra and the other with yellow squash. SUPER AMAZING!!!! I had tried a friends fritter recipe just before seeing this episode and it bombed badly. I tried this one in blind faith and it was awesome! Thanks so much Paula! I am a loyal fan, and hope one day to be half as amazing in the kitchen as you are!!!!

Tried these after seeing Paula prepare them on her show. The family thought I had slaved in the kitchen all day. Our oldest daugter wants them for her birthday dinner.

I pass a little vegetable stand on my way to visit my sister-in-law and nephew. So I picked up some fresh okra and green tomatoes. I fixed these along with salmon patties and fried green tomatoes. Yes we love our fried food here in the south. Of the three dishes, my nephew loved this one the best. For me, it was the easiest to fixe. Now he wants me to fixed them every I go to visit.

this recipe did not turn out like Paula's, it was like a a fried biscuit with okra. i added cornmeal and thinned it all out and now its better but they are not lacy and crispy like the show recipe. when Paula cooked them I wanted to go through the tv to eat them...

I made the okra fritters for my New Years Day lunch. I will use a smaller spoon next time just so there will be more of them and I think they will stay crunchier a little bit longer.

Having received a HUGE bag of frozen whole okra from a friend's garden, I was thrilled to find an easy recipe to try. This couldn't have been better! In addition, I was happy to use up frozen soured milk in place of the buttermilk. My husband enjoyed them, too, which is surprising since he really doesn't "go for" okra.

For those inquiring, I listed the recipe for the Chewy Cakes Paula made on this episode under seafood nachos comments and reviews section.
